Even Sir Anish Kapoor produced a new video specifically for Payret, Havana’s oldest surviving cinema.
French master Daniel Buren’s designed two site-specific projects, one at the Casablanca Railway Station...
...and the other across multiple neglected facades in Havana, featuring his signature vertical stripes.
Indian artist Nikhil Chopra lived inside a cage in Plaza de Armas for sixty straight hours as part of his performance La perla negra.
Italian legend Michelangelo Pistoletto also contributed with two projects, El tercer paraíso, for which a specific film was also made, and Thirteen Less One, seen here.
The fishermen village of Casablanca, with its iconic Christ looking over Havana, was the main setting of the Biennial.
Juampa helmed a hundred-people crew during months of preparation and a week of almost 24/7 shoot, with often simultaneous events.
