"Twilight" wins top prizes in Martinique

We are very happy to say that fila20's Twilight (Crepúsculo) has won the BEST OF FEST (Snake Award) and the BEST CARIBBEAN FILM recognitions at the last Martinique International Film Festival.

Written and directed by Juan Pablo Daranas Molina, this medium-length movie tells the story of Alicia (Mónica Molinet), a young girl who dreams of being an actress but works as a clown in a mediocre traveling circus. During a tour through a remote mountain community where there isn’t even electricity, she meets Abelito (Kevin Serra), a child with a skin illness that doesn't allow him to be exposed to sunlight.

Premiered last year at the Glasgow Short Film Festival, Twilight was chosen by The Skinny as one of the best five films at this prestigious event, which also included the Academy Awards nominee "The World of Tomorrow", by Don Hertzfeldt. During its successful itinerary, Twilight has also received top prizes from the New Jersey Film Festival and Muestra Joven.

Next screenings of this fila20's film will take place at the SBE's Hamilton International Film Festival and at the Sydney Film Festival.

Congratulations again to the entire cast & crew of the movie and to all of our co-producers!
